ADFA Unveils Trainee Housing, Perth Parliamentarians Get New Offices

On 3 May 2024 the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works will hold two public hearings at Parliament House.

The first hearing is part of the Committee's inquiry into the Department of Defence's Canberra Defence Precinct Tranche 1 Australian Defence Force Academy Living-in Accommodation project. The Committee will scrutinise Defence's $1.25 billion proposal to build new accommodation for Australian Defence Force Academy trainees.

The second hearing is part of the Committee's inquiry into the Department of Finance's Proposed Fit-out of New Commonwealth Parliament Offices, Perth, Western Australia. The Committee will scrutinise Finance's $38.2 million proposal to fit-out the Western Australian Parliament Offices.

The Committee will examine the need, scope, function, cost effectiveness and public value for money of both proposals.
