Bunbury Offshore Wind - Online Information Session

Information Session: Monday 29 April 2024 from 5.30pm to 7pm AWST

The department has organised an online information session to help members of the public learn more about the proposed offshore wind area located off the coast of Bunbury, WA.

Join online to hear from a panel of experts with local knowledge about offshore wind and relevant topics, including the marine environment and regional development.

The event will run for 90 minutes. Each speaker will present on their area of expertise. This will be followed by a facilitated panel discussion that will focus on matters raised in the consultation period. Participants will be able to submit questions at registration and during the session.

Panel members include:

• Professor Peta Ashworth OAM, Director, Curtin University, Institute for Energy Transition (Chair)

• Christophe Gaudin, Director, University of Western Australia, Oceans Institute

• Raquel Carter, Head of WA and Environment, Energise Renewables

• Neville Kelly, Business Development Manager, RCR Mining Technologies

• Tim Sawyer, independent consultant and offshore wind industry professional
