A man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Sydney’s south, NSW Police say.
Police and emergency services were called to Foreshore Road, Banksmeadow, just before 1pm today (Saturday 5 May 2018), following reports a car veered off the road.
The driver, a 65-year-old man, was trapped in the vehicle for a short time before being freed by Police Rescue.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Prince of Wales Hospital, where he later died.
Officers attached to Botany Bay Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, however it is believed the man suffered a medical episode.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
