Police are investigating following a fatal traffic incident involving a truck at Hendra this afternoon, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary investigations indicate around 12.45pm a truck travelling westbound on the East West Arterial Road crossed over to the eastbound lanes and collided with three oncoming vehicles.
The truck then continued before crashing into a barrier.
The driver of the rig, a 56-year-old man, could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause, including whether the truck driver suffered from a medical incident prior to the crash.
The drivers of two other vehicles involved were transported to hospital with minor injuries.
