Greater Darwin Police Seek Info on Pedestrian Strikes

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a series of incidents that occurred across Greater Darwin Region earlier this week.

In the early hours of 15 April 2024, police will allege a burglary occurred at a location on Pioneer Drive, Humpty Doo, where 3 males broke into the premises and stole a number of power tools and 3 petrol powered golf carts.

The golf carts were later linked to 2 hit and run incidents, the first where a cyclist was struck later that morning at approximately 5:30am in the Coolalinga area, and the second when a sleeping male was struck along a pedestrian path adjacent to Wallaby Holtze Road, at approximately 9pm.

Palmerston general duties attended the scenes, rendered assistance and conducted patrols but did not locate the offenders.

Investigators from Strike Force Trident are urging residents and persons who have travelled through the areas that have relevant information, CCTV or dash-cam, to make contact on 131 444. Please quote NTP2400037734.
