Frontline emergency care across the Mid North Coast is set to receive a significant boost with the official opening of the Lake Cathie Ambulance Station today.
Member of the Legislative Council and Labor spokesperson for Port Macquarie Cameron Murphy joined NSW Ambulance paramedics, local families, and community members to mark the milestone.
The new station is part of the NSW Government's $232 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program, which is the single largest investment in regional NSW Ambulance's 129-year history.
The new station includes accommodation and rest facilities for paramedics, internal parking for up to four emergency ambulance vehicles, staff common areas, administration and office areas, logistics and storage areas, and a vehicle wash bay.
NSW Ambulance worked to identify the new location using demand modelling software which maps Triple Zero calls and determined the site at 1379 Ocean Drive as a suitable for the new station.

Fifty-four new or upgraded ambulance stations are being delivered across NSW as part of the $232 million RAIR program.
