Man Charged As Part Of Cobram Death Investigation

Detectives from Cobram Crime Investigation Unit have charged a man as part of the investigation into an incident where a woman was located deceased in Cobram yesterday.

A 39-year-old Cobram man has been charged with intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury, common law assault, aggravated assault of a female and unlawful assault.

He is expected to face an out of sessions court hearing tonight, where police will look to remand him to face Shepparton Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Police will allege the parties involved are known to each other.

The investigation commenced when emergency services were called to an address on Campbell Road about 2.15pm on Monday, 23 April.

The body of a 49-year-old Cobram woman was located inside the property.

Detectives from Cobram CIU will now investigate the matter and are continuing to work to establish the exact circumstances in relation to the woman's death.
