Police will prepare a report for the Coroner after the tragic death of a man at Grange Beach this morning.
Emergency services rushed to Grange Beach at 11.15am on Thursday 20 January by reports a man had been pulled from the water, unresponsive.
Sadly, despite the efforts of members of the public and paramedics to immediately administer CPR, the man could not be saved.
The 49-year-old Seaton man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
It appears he had entered the water to rescue his young daughter, who had gotten into difficulty.
Police will now prepare a report for the Coroner and wish to thank those members of the public for their assistance in this incident.
