A man has been found deceased on a fishing boat on the State’s Far South Coast today, NSW Police say.
Police were called to a boat 1.5km east of Broulee Island just before 9.30am this morning today, following reports a passing fisherman had located the body of a man on another vessel.
Officers from Far South Local Area Command, assisted by Marine Rescue, attended the location and found a 75-year-old man deceased.
Initial inquiries suggest the death may be due to a medical episode and is not being treated as suspicious.
The vessel was secured and will be returned to Batemans Bay marina.
A brief will be prepared for the Coroner.
