A report is being prepared for the Coroner after the body of a man, reported missing from Glenfield was discovered by searchers today.
The 85-year-old was last seen about 4.30pm (30 April 2016), after leaving his home on Trafalgar Street for a walk.
His wife contacted police when he failed to return home.
Searchers located a man’s body in the Georges River around midday.
A post mortem examination will be conducted to officially determine how the man died.
Police from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command are following a number of lines of inquiry, including misadventure, as they prepare their report for the Coroner.
