Inquiries continue after a fatal plane crash in the state’s west today, NSW Police say.
About 8.20am today, a crop dusting aircraft crashed on a rural property on Dandaloo Road, about 35km west of Narromine.
The aircraft was engulfed in fire after the crash and the male pilot, believed to be aged in his 50s, died at the scene. His identity is not yet confirmed.
Police from Orana Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
Local detectives are on scene conducting inquiries. They will be joined by specialist investigators from the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) and the Aviation Support Branch.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
