Police Arrest Man After Hit-run In Long Gully

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man following an alleged hit-run in Long Gully last night.

It's alleged a dispute between two men occurred on Derwent Drive, near Hercules Street, when a 51-year-old man was hit by a car about 9.45pm.

The Long Gully man was flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

It's alleged a second man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after allegedly being assaulted when he came to assist.

A 30-year-old Long Gully man has been arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries.
