Two men have been arrested in NSW today as part of the Homicide Squad investigation into a fatal stabbing in Ormond last weekend.
Brothers Abhijeet Abhijeet and Robin Gartan were arrested in Goulburn this morning with the assistance of NSW Police.
Detectives will travel to NSW today and the pair are expected to face Goulburn Local Court tomorrow, where investigators will apply to extradite them back to Victoria.
The arrests follow an incident in Ormond on Sunday, 5 March where one man was killed and one man was injured.
Emergency services were called to a residential property on North Road about 1am following reports of a dispute.
Upon arrival, two men were located with stab wounds.
A 22-year-old Noble Park man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, while a 30-year-old Noble Park was taken to hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.
It's believed the parties involved in the incident were known to each other.
