Police Charge Man After Cars Damaged In Geelong

Geelong police have charged a man after a number of vehicles, including police cars, were damaged in Geelong yesterday.

Police will allege the man attended Tarnished Way about 4am and ripped the rear windscreen wipers off four police vehicles and damaged at least seven others.

A number of enquiries were made by police, and an off-duty officer arrested a 65-year-old man from Geelong West in Mercer Street about 2.50pm.

The man has been charged with 11 counts of criminal damage and remanded to face Geelong Magistrates' Court on Friday 26 April.
