Police have charged three men who allegedly evaded police in Cranbourne yesterday.
Officers first observed a Nissan Patrol allegedly driving erratically on Thompsons Road about 11.50am.
It is believed one of the occupants exited the Nissan, before allegedly stealing a Mercedes from a dealership in Moorabbin.
With the assistance of the Air Wing, both vehicles were followed for a distance before the Mercedes rammed a Critical Incident Response Team vehicle.
The officers inside were not injured.
A short time later, the Mercedes collided with a pole before the driver, a 24-year-old Cranbourne North man, was arrested.
The Nissan was dumped before the remaining occupants got into a third vehicle.
The remaining four occupants were arrested by Special Operations Group members on Belgrave-Hallam Road in Hallam a short time later.
The 24-year-old Cranbourne North man was charged with 67 offences, including intentional aggravated expose emergency worker to risk by driving, innumerable thefts, theft of motor vehicle and carjacking.
He will appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
A 43-year-old Cranbourne West man was charged with possess drug of dependence and was bailed to appear before Dandenong Magistrates' Court on 21 June.
A 37-year-old Dandenong North man was charged with carjacking and theft of motor vehicle.
He will appear before Dandenong Magistrates' Court today.
A 37-year-old Narre Warren man and a 31-year-old Berwick man and were released pending further enquiries.
