USAID Deputy Administrator Coleman Heads to Paris, Geneva

From April 15-16, Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman will lead the United States government delegation to Paris, France and Geneva, Switzerland to underscore the United States' commitment to the continued provision of humanitarian assistance and deepen coordination with other donors and regional representatives on crises in the region.

While in Paris on April 15, the Deputy Administrator will participate in the International Humanitarian Conference on Sudan, hosted by France, Germany, and the European Commission, on the vital need for greater humanitarian assistance for the Sudanese people. In Geneva on April 16, Deputy Administrator Coleman will join a high-level pledging event hosted by the Government of Ethiopia, the United Kingdom, and the UN's Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs to raise awareness about the dire humanitarian situation in Ethiopia, emphasize ongoing U.S. support, and garner more resources for the humanitarian crisis.
