World Immunisation Week Reminder to Stay Healthy This Flu Season

NT Government

The time has come for Territorians to start booking their influenza vaccination as flu season approaches.

This week is World Immunisation Week, and an important reminder Territorians will need three vaccines this year to stay healthy – one flu vaccine and two COVID jabs.

Last year a record number of flu vaccinations were recorded in the Northern Territory.

Flu and COVID-19 vaccines can't be delivered at the same time – there needs to be 14 days between doses.

Territorians not yet eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine yet should prioritise getting the flu vaccine first.

To book a flu vaccination contact a GP, health clinic or pharmacy.

Anyone over the age of 10 can get their flu shot from a pharmacist. Ask your local pharmacy if they offer this service.

Some people are eligible to receive the flu vaccine for free through the National Immunisation Program.
