February 21, 2024 - North Bay, ON - Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario - FedNor
The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Indigenous Services and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced the roster of 112 businesses and organizations that will take part in the FedNor-funded
Northern Ontario Mining Showcase (NOMS) at the 2024 Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) International Convention. PDAC 2024 will take place from March 3rd to 6th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Led by the City of Temiskaming Shores, NOMS provides a unique opportunity for exhibitors to increase sales, exports and showcase Northern Ontario innovation, including some of the latest in mining equipment, tools, products, services, and clean-tech. Spanning an impressive 13,200 square feet and featuring a jam-packed roster of mining supply and services exhibitors, the pavilion will be one of the largest attractions at the world's premier mineral exploration and mining convention.
Based on NOMS' impressive record of success, the Government of Canada invested $781,750 to support the continued evolution of the pavilion for 2024. Since its inception in 2015, the FedNor-funded pavilion has nearly tripled in size and helped participants create over 900 jobs and generate more than $100 million in increased sales.
