At the Goulburn Mulwaree Council Ordinary Meeting held on 17 December 2024, several key motions were discussed and resolutions passed. A major highlight was the motion to re-establish the Goulburn Rail Trail Steering Committee, ensuring progress on the Goulburn Rail Trail project. The committee will operate in line with the NSW Rail Trails Framework (2022), with a call for expressions of interest to serve on the committee.

Council also addressed local infrastructure concerns, including submissions to the Environmental Impact Statements for Marulan Quarry and Gundary Solar Farm. Matters raised included visual impacts, site suitability, and traffic issues, as well as concerns relating to consultation and community benefits.

Additionally, Council approved a 57-lot subdivision at 129 Marys Mount Road, Goulburn, and endorsed the Draft Goulburn Mulwaree Community Strategic Plan 2042 for public exhibition. Other items included updates on the Shared Pathways Project in South Goulburn and the rehabilitation of local roads including Bungendore, Currawang and Garrorigang Roads.

In terms of funding, Council committed to various capital works and community projects, ensuring continued development while maintaining infrastructure.
