Detectives from Mackay Northern Beaches, with the assistance of Mackay Tactical Crime Squad and Mackay Dog Squad, have charged 19 people with 56 offences, as part of Operation Red Dragon.
Last month, Mackay Northern Beaches established an operation aimed at targeting wanted high risk offenders in the district and reduce crime across the area.
Over the course of the three-day operation, police executed search warrants across the area and arrested 19 people for a number of offences, including possessing dangerous drugs, break and enter, failure to appear in court, stealing, contravention of domestic violence orders, and more.
A 32-year-old Bucasia man has been charged with three counts each of possessing dangerous drugs and offence to buy or possess medicines or hazardous poisons, two counts of indictable offence by break, and one count each of possessing utensils or pipes, unlawful possession of weapons, authority required to possess explosives, and receiving tainted property.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear at Mackay Magistrates Court on September 25.
A 31-year-old Mackay woman has been charged with one count each of wilful damage (domestic violence offence), stealing, driving of a motor vehicle without a licence, and failure to appear in accordance with undertaking.
She is due to reappear at Mackay Magistrates Court on September 24.
A 45-year-old Kirwan man has been charged with one count each of contravention of domestic violence order (aggravated offence) and assaults occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence offence).
He is due to reappear at Mackay Magistrates Court on September 23.
Mackay Northern Beaches Senior Sergeant Tanya Cashin said these targeted operations are necessary in reducing crime in the community.
"We will continue to exercise a zero-tolerance policy on offenders committing these crimes," said Senior Sergeant Cashin.
"Our officers will work tirelessly to ensure our community is free from harm. And that those we allege are responsible for these offences are held responsible before the courts."
