Established by Ravenswood School for Girls in 2017 to recognise, encourage and promote women in the visual arts, the Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize is Australia's richest art prize for women.
Proudly supported by Platinum Sponsor, Stockland, the prize has two entry categories: the Professional Artist Prize valued at $35,000 and the Emerging Artist Prize valued at $5000. Entries to the Art Prize may be in any medium and must best reflect the intentions of the artist's practice.
The Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize has grown from strength to strength attracting more than 820 entries in just its second year, and 96 finalists representing every state and territory across Australia were on display in the 2018 Exhibition of Finalists. Winners of the 2018 Art Prize were Angela Tiatia, Professional Artist category for her work The Fall and Amber Koroluk-Stephenson won the Emerging Artist Prize for her work Marooned.

The 2019 Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize will be officially opened in Sydney and prize winners announced by Ravenswood Principal, Anne Johnstone, in the Centenary Centre Foyer at Ravenswood on Friday 31 May 2019 at 6pm. To enter and
