REINSW has recognised outstanding achievements, crowning the winners of its 2021 REINSW Awards for Excellence.
As it approaches its quarter century, the REINSW Awards for Excellence is still the most prestigious and respected industry awards event in New South Wales, recognising the best of the best within the real estate industry.
REINSW President Leanne Pilkington says this year the Awards for Excellence just keeps continuing to grow.
"We were delighted by the number of entrants into the Awards for Excellence this year which has been increasing year on year. We again received the highest number of entries ever, following one of the most challenging years in the history of the industry due to the pandemic as well as the strong market which until now shows no signs of slowing down," says Ms Pilkington.
"As we stepped out of more than 100 days of lockdown this week, we were proud to be able to continue with a virtual version of the Annual Awards Gala Evening to fully honour our winners. Taking the event online for the second year in a row proved once again that we could adapt in the face of adversity, and we thoroughly enjoyed sharing the celebration with our members across the State tuning in from their homes and offices to join us for such a fun and entertaining evening.
"This year the entrants set the bar even higher bar, showing us such a huge amount of talent and strength reflected in our great industry.
"With so many deserving nominees, choosing the top professional and agency for each category, was extremely tough.
"Those who received a winner's trophy should be incredibly proud of their achievement," says Ms Pilkington.
This year we handed out 10 agency and 14 individual category awards. Sophie Tieman from Jones Lang Lasalle (NSW) took out the Commercial Salesperson of the year award.
The Tim Anderson OAM Residential Property Manager award (in honour of a much-loved member of REINSW) went to Antonio Mesiti from The Management Agency.
Cathy Baker from Belle Property Killcare was the proud winner of two awards - Residential Salesperson of the year and the John Greig OAM Community Service award.
The Auctioneer of the year award was given to Stuart Ritchie at McGrath Estate Agents and the Rural Marketer award went to George Barton at McCulloch Agencies.
The most prestigious award of the night, the Woodrow Weight Award, which recognises outstanding contribution to real estate agency practice was presented to Miles Felstead from Miles Felstead Realty.
"We are thrilled to recognise the valuable contributions Miles has made to the REINSW over a 45-year period. Miles has seen huge changes to the industry over the decades - some of which he has been instrumental in achieving through his work with us here at REINSW. His unswerving tenacity and commitment to our beloved industry cements his place as a respected member of the profession and a well-deserved recipient of this award," says Ms Pilkington.
