Many residents and businesses adorned their homes with festive lights and decorations as part of Federation Council's annual Light Up Federation Christmas Lights Competition.
Federation Council Mayor, Cr Patrick Bourke said, all of the registered displays were very impressive; they really bought the towns to life. It was obvious just how much time and effort the residents put into bringing their displays to life, it was great to see so many get involved.
"I commend all participants for taking the time to decorate their homes and brighten up our streets and businesses as part of the annual competition," he said.
Council is excited to announce the winners of the 2022 Light Up Federation competition;
- BEST DECORATED HOUSE - 8 Bank Street, Howlong
- BEST DECORATED STREET – O'Brien Court, Corowa
- BEST DECORATED BUSINESS – Goodstart Early Learning Corowa
Entries were judged on theme, light, presentation, general appearance layout and design and if the display reflects the spirit of the Christmas.
The winner of the Best Decorated House will receive $800 of gift vouchers from their choice of local businesses.
The Best Decorated Business will receive $200 of gift vouchers plus a decal for their business window.
The Best Decorated Street will have a custom sign recognising their achievement, that is attached to their local street sign.
