The successful projects for the Queanbeyan-Palerang Category 1 funding round have been announced.

ClubGRANTS is one of Australia's largest grant programs, providing more than $100 million each year to a variety of worthy causes across NSW.

Each year, registered clubs across NSW provide support to tens of thousands of local community organisations, sporting groups, and charities that make a difference in their local area through ClubGRANTS.

In Queanbeyan-Palerang, ClubGRANTS are provided by four local clubs: Campbell & George, Queanbeyan Kangaroos Rugby League Football Club, Queanbeyan Leagues Club and Queanbeyan Tigers Australian Football Club.

This year the Committee selected 34 projects worth approximately $290,000 to receive either full or partial funding under the annual Category 1 funding round.

Category 1 funding applies to projects that support community welfare and social services, community development, health services, employment assistance activities, and other projects that aim to improve the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people. Projects and organisations involved in professional sport are also eligible for Category 1 funding.
