Police would like to remind motorists of upcoming road closures due to the Brisbane Marathon.
The event will be conducted on Sunday June 2, with over 10,000 competitors expected to participate in this year's event.
All events start at Margaret Street and will finish at the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. Various road closures will be in place from 3am to 1.30pm Sunday June 2.
Police have been working with the Brisbane City Council and Events Management Queensland to ensure the marathon and associated events are conducted safely and with minimum disruption to traffic.
Motorists are urged to avoid traveling anywhere along the route on the day of the event due to diversions that will be in place. Delays can be expected, and motorists need to be alert for competitors and fun runners.
Motorists can expect delays and traffic congestion at the following road closures in Brisbane City, Kangaroo Point, New Farm and Teneriffe:
