Surf Coast Shire Council is excited to open the 2024 Business Insights Survey. Council invites all local businesses to participate and share their insights and experiences, in a short online survey.
The Business Insights Survey is open to businesses of all sizes and sectors as it's designed to find out information about our local business operations including:
- Understanding the business environment
- Business priorities
- Business challenges, including staff
- Environmental sustainability - a focus for this survey is gaining business insights, including environmental sustainability which is a Council priority and part of the Circular Economy Action Plan.
This information will enable Council to tailor its programs, services, and policies to better support the business community over the coming years. It's part of Council's commitment to fostering a thriving business environment and support the economic growth of the community.
"Council is committed to understanding the unique needs of our local businesses and providing them with the support they need to succeed," said Mayor, Cr Liz Pattison.
By participating this year, businesses can win a $1,000 video production prize, with local videographer, Heidi Banas Creative.
"We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to win a prize for participating businesses. Heidi has offered a 60 second promotional video," she said.
The survey is open to all businesses and can be accessed online until 5pm, 28 August 2024 at yoursay.surfcoast.vic.gov.au/business-survey.
"Council encourages all businesses to participate as we value the input of our local owner operators. The more information collected, the more we can understand what businesses want to thrive into the future," she said. "We look forward to seeing local businesses build a stronger, more resilient local economy," said Mayor, Cr Liz Pattison.
Council will release the survey results in spring on the Surf Coast Business Collective Facebook page and in the Business Newsletter.
