Over 200 international students met with around 20 local Territory employers from industries including tourism and hospitality, accounting, engineering, information technology, medicine, public service, community service and education for the 2024 Study NT Careers and Jobs Expo.
Hosted by the Territory Labor Government's Study NT last week in Darwin, the expo provides international students studying in the NT with the opportunity to connect with prospective employers as well as providing free workshops to help students upskill and land their dream job.
Workshops include resume writing and interview skills and assistance to optimise their LinkedIn profile including a free professional headshot.
There are currently more than 5,600 international students studying in the Northern Territory and the Territory Labor Government aims to grow that to 10,000 international students by 2030.
The Australian Government supported the expo with a $6,000 Austrade grant to Study NT.
