Kindergarten registrations for 2024 three and four-year-old kindergarten places are now open for 11 local kindergartens.
Parents and guardians looking to register their children in kindergarten or pre-kindergarten next year can do so through an online central registration process.
Mildura Rural City Council coordinates registrations for the following kindergartens:
- Irymple Kindergarten
- Kathleen Kelly Kindergarten
- Shine Bright Mildura South Kindergarten
- Mildura West Kindergarten
- Nangiloc and District Kindergarten
- Red Cliffs Kindergarten
- De Garis Kindergarten
- Shine Bright St Margaret's Kindergarten
- Pasadena Preschool
- Shine Bright Merbein Kindergarten
- Playalong Early Learning Centre
Parents and guardians can register for these kindergartens by completing an online form at www.mildura.vic.gov.au/kindergarten
Registrations at other local kindergartens can be made directly with those groups.
Councillor for Community Health and Wellbeing Troy Bailey said kindergartens provide a range of experiences to help three and four-year-old children develop and learn before starting school.
"Those years before starting school are vitally important in developing strong social skills and encouraging a love of learning, we are very fortunate to have some amazing kindergartens available across our community," he said.
Registrations under the centralised system opened on 1 June 2023, with first-round places closing on 31 July 2023. Registrations will still be accepted and collated after this date.
Registrations for second-round places close on 31 August 2023, while the third-round closes 30 September 2023. Registrations will continue until children have been allocated places.
