Do you love writing? Do you have a story to tell? Living Stories is your chance to share your story!
Hawkesbury Library Service, in conjunction with WestWords and WestLit Libraries, presents Living Stories 2024, a writing competition for residents of Western Sydney and the Wingecarribee Shire.
Express yourself by submitting a short story, poem or essay responding to the theme 'Over the Line'. Entries will be judged locally, with regional winners going on to vie for the overall prize in each category. Categories for entry are 10-12 years, 13-15 years, 16-18 years and adults (18+).
This competition is organised by WestWords and more information can be found at www.westwords.com.au/living-stories All entries must be submitted online by 6 May 2024.
Regional winners and highly commended entries will have their work published in an anthology entitled Living Stories.
Living stories: The Workshops
As part of the 2024 Living Stories Western Sydney Writing Prize, WestWords and WestLit are offering free creative writing workshops at Hawkesbury Central Library, 300 George Street, Windsor.
The workshops are customised to each specific age and are intended to help writers gain confidence and skills in their creative writing.
Children's workshop – Saturday, 20 April 2024 9:30am to 11am
Adults' workshop – Saturday, 20 April 2024 11:30am to 1pm
