Parkes Shire Council is pleased to announce that the results of the recent local government elections have now been officially declared. The final results were published on the Electoral Commission's website after the distribution of preferences.
A total of 10,575 electors were enrolled, with 9,055 votes cast, representing a voter turnout of just under 86%. Of these, 8,441 were formal votes, while 614, or 6.78%, were declared informal. The quota that each of the 32 candidates needed to reach to be elected was 768 votes.
The elected Councillors, listed in order of total preferential votes received at the time of their election, are:

- Cr Louise O'Leary
- Cr Douglas Pout
- Cr Kenny McGrath
- Cr Joy Paddison
