The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) is pleased to announce that this year's winner of the WA Gold Medal Award is Steve Scudamore AM FAICD.
The 2024 WA Gold Medal is awarded in recognition of Mr Scudamore's significant contribution to corporate life in Western Australia.
Mr Scudamore has a long history of actively supporting the business community in Western Australia through education, mentoring and stewardship.
His current directorships include ASX listed companies Pilbara Minerals, Australis Oil and Gas, and Regis Resources. Steve is on the national board of the Australia British Chamber of Commerce and chairs the WA Branch. He is also involved on several not-for-profit boards.
Steve was a senior partner at KPMG for 20 years, specialising in the energy and natural resources sector and corporate finance services. During this time he was engaged extensively across Asia, particularly in China, Japan and South Korea. He has also worked in PNG and has enjoyed long associations with clients in Indonesia, Malaysia and Africa.
Mr Scudamore was a finalist for the Western Australian of the Year in 2021 and 2023 for his services to business.
WA Division Council President Jane Cutler congratulated Mr Scudamore on receiving the 2024 Gold Medal Award, in recognition of his eminent role in the field of directorship and his directorial values of excellence and integrity.
"I'd also like to thank Steve for his distinguished service to the AICD."
Mr Scudamore said he was very thankful to receive the Award and looked forward to continuing his deep involvement in the business and wider community of Western Australia.
