- This year marks a historic 25 years of the WA Youth Awards
- Winners to be announced at a ceremony on 20 September
Thirty-six extraordinary young Western Australians and eight youth organisations have been nominated as finalists for the 2024 WA Youth Awards.
Now in its 25th year, the WA Youth Awards recognise the contributions of young people, youth workers and youth organisations across Western Australia, and celebrate the positive impact they have on the community.
Across 11 award categories, the WA Young Person of the Year and the Minister for Youth's Most Outstanding Youth Worker Award will be announced at a gala ceremony in Perth on 20 September 2024.
All category winners will receive a $1,000 prize, with the WA Young Person of the Year to receive $10,000 to go toward a youth-related initiative or activity across WA.
The Awards are a partnership between the Department of Communities and the Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia, with support from Lotterywest.

As stated by Youth Minister Hannah Beazley:
"I'm thrilled to recognise the 44 finalists of this year's WA Youth Awards and celebrate the work they do in our community and across our WA youth sector.
"This year we received a record 155 nominations, which shows the dedication and passion young people, and the people that support them, have when it comes to their work.
"I'm looking forward to celebrating 25 years of the WA Youth Awards, including all the nominees and award winners at the ceremony in September."
