2025-26 Budget Community Consultation

Tasmanian Government

The 2025-26 State Budget Community Consultation process is now open.

Every year the Tasmanian Government consults widely with the community as part of developing the Budget for the following year.

Treasurer, Guy Barnett, said that this ensures that all Tasmanians can have a say on the State's budget priorities and policies.

"By giving Tasmanians a voice in this process, we're ensuring a fair and sustainable pathway towards delivering a Budget that delivers for all Tasmanians," the Treasurer said.

"I look forward to engaging with and hearing from peak community organisations, individuals and other organisations on what is happening on the ground in the community.

"Through this process we're looking to make the delivery of goods and services to Tasmanians more effective and efficient.

"Our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future takes action on the things that matter to Tasmanians – health, housing and cost of living – and the 2025-26 Budget will be critical to continuing our ongoing success."

Submissions are due to Treasury by Sunday 22 December 2024.

Guidance on how to make a submission can be found on the Department of Treasury and Finance website at www.treasury.tas.gov.au.

The 2025-26 State Budget is set to be delivered on 29 May 2025.
