2025 Australia Day Events In Campaspe

Community groups throughout Campaspe Shire have once again coordinated a diverse array of events for Australia Day 2025. Campaspe Shire Mayor Cr Daniel Mackrell praised their efforts and highlighted the commendable organisation by these community groups.

"The enthusiasm and hard work of our clubs and committees truly reflect the vibrant community spirit across the shire," Cr Mackrell said.

"The community-led Australia Day Awards will be part of the celebrations, showcasing the remarkable achievements of our community members. These events will also include traditional ceremonies like flag-raising as well as engaging presentations from a diverse group of speakers, including past award recipients, community leaders and individuals from various backgrounds.

"Alongside traditional activities such as flag-raising and Australia Day Award presentations, the day will also offer a variety of events including BBQ breakfasts, guest speakers, pool parties, yabby races, kids' fishing competitions, games, and music," Cr Mackrell said.

The following events will be held on Australia Day:

Echuca

Coordinated by Rotary Club of Echuca Moama.

Hopwood Gardens from 7.30am – 1pm.

This event includes breakfast, flag-raising ceremony, Welcome to Country, guest speaker, presentation of awards, formation flyover by Echuca Aero Club and live entertainment.

Girgarre

Coordinated by the Girgarre Community Group Inc.

Girgarre Memorial Hall from 8.30 – 10.30am.

This event includes a flag-raising ceremony, presentation of awards, BBQ breakfast and music.

Gunbower

Coordinated by Gunbower Lions Club.

Felix L'Huillier Park Gunbower Recreation Reserve from 7am

These events include a community breakfast at the Recreation Reserve followed by a flag-raising ceremony, and guest speaker.

Koyuga

Coordinated by the Koyuga Memorial Hall and Recreation Reserve Committee.

Koyuga Hall from 6pm.

This event includes a sausage sizzle and the annual yabby races.

Kyabram

Coordinated by Rotary Club of Kyabram.

John Pilley Reserve at Kyabram Fauna Park from 8 - 10am.

This event includes an Australia Day breakfast and celebrations.

Kyvalley

Coordinated by Kyvalley Swimming Club Inc.

Kyvalley Community Park from 12.15 - 1.15pm.

This event will include a BBQ lunch, community ceremony, guest speaker, entertainment as well as the pool being open to the public from 12 noon - 3pm.

Lockington

Coordinated by Lockington Lions Club and the Action Club of Lockington.

Lions Park Lockington from 8 - 10.00am.

Lockington Channel from 10.30am - 12.30pm.

This event will include breakfast, flag-raising ceremony and a kids' fishing competition at the Lockington Channel.

Rochester

Coordinated by the Rochester Lions Club and the Rochester Australia Day Committee.

Rochester Lions Park from 7 - 8.30am.

This event will include a BBQ breakfast, flag-raising ceremony, guest speaker, and presentation of awards.

Rushworth

Coordinated by the Rushworth and District Australia Day Committee.

Rushworth 'Village Green' from 12 noon.

This event will include a welcoming of new residents to Rushworth & District, presentation of awards, sausage sizzle and live entertainment.

Stanhope

Coordinated by the Stanhope Australia Day Committee.

Stanhope Community Hall at 9.30am.

This event will include a flag-raising ceremony and sausage sizzle.

Toolleen

Coordinated by Toolleen Recreation Reserve Committee of Management.

Toolleen Recreation Reserve at 11.00am

This event will include a luncheon with guest speaker.

Tongala

Coordinated by the Tongala Development Group

Tongala Swimming Pool from 10am - 4pm.

This event will include a community pool party, music, games and refreshments.

Wyuna

Coordinated by Wyuna Community Memorial Hall Inc.

Wyuna Memorial Hall at 6.30pm

This event will include a flag-raising ceremony and community BBQ.
