2025 Climate Solutions Symposium Registration Open

In line with its mission to promote broad engagement and action, the symposium is offered at no cost to participants; however, registration is required. All members of the Penn State community - including students, faculty and staff - are encouraged to attend, along with individuals from industry, government, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), academia, environmental organizations, advocacy groups, Indigenous communities, youth advocates, sustainability professionals and the broader community.

Themed "We are Imagining, Innovating, and Implementing Together," the two-day event will focus on fostering collaboration and developing actionable climate solutions and lasting partnerships. Attendees can expect dynamic breakout sessions, panel discussions, keynote talks and a poster session highlighting innovations from across disciplines. A networking reception will run alongside the poster session on Monday, May 19.

The 2025 Climate Solutions Symposium will provide a comprehensive program that spans the spectrum of climate research and solutions. The event will showcase the latest findings from Penn State experts, provide a platform for insights from climate thought leaders, offer exceptional networking opportunities and spotlight pioneering solutions for climate mitigation, adaptation and resilience.

In addition to the main symposium, two limited-capacity, pre-symposium events are being offered on Sunday, May 18 on a first-come, first-served basis. The first pre-symposium event is a tree-planting excursion scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The second is a kickoff reception at the Palmer Museum of Art, which is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. Both pre-symposium events are offered at no cost.

The symposium is organized by the Penn State Climate Consortium, which is dedicated to fostering collaboration and accelerating climate change research to develop actionable solutions for a sustainable and just world. Through promoting excellence in research, empowering local-to-global initiatives and leading transitions in climate policy, the consortium aims to inspire creativity and broad engagement in addressing the challenges of climate change.
