Leading health and technology experts will discuss the future of Australia's healthcare at the C3.0 Connect. Care. Confidence. 2025 Summit, streamed live on Tuesday 18 February.

Friday 14 February is the last opportunity to register to join more than 2000 industry peers to hear from innovators, service providers, clinicians and consumers as, together, the Australian Digital Health Agency (the Agency) and the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) build on the success of the inaugural 2023 C3.0 Summit.

Agency CEO, Amanda Cattermole PSM, said the summit would explore the next stage of clinical governance in digital health and provide a unique opportunity for knowledge sharing and collaboration.

"We are delighted to be bringing together national and global experts, along with healthcare leaders, to share insights and collaborate on driving innovation to support better healthcare," Ms Cattermole said.

Commission CEO, Conjoint Professor Anne Duggan, said the summit would be crucial for anyone involved in the planning, implementation, evaluation and use of digital health services and tools.

"This event aims to enhance our understanding of delivering high-quality, safe, digitally enabled healthcare. It emphasises our shared responsibility for improving patient outcomes in a digitally enabled world," Professor Duggan said.

The summit will include a day of engaging panel discussions, case study presentations and interactive Q&A sessions and feature distinguished speakers from across Australia, with an opening address from the Honourable Ged Kearney MP, Assistant Minister for Health and Aged Care.

In addition to a range of Australian experts, the summit will feature international guest speakers Dr John D. Halamka M.D., M.S, President of the Mayo Clinic Platform, a digital initiative that brings together solution developers, data partners and healthcare service providers to transform healthcare, and Dr Bertalan Mesko, Director of The Medical Futurist Institute.

Dr Halamka will deliver the opening keynote address, focusing on the significance of global cooperation in digital health.

"Collaborative efforts across borders are essential in advancing healthcare technologies and improving patient outcomes," Dr Halamka said.

Dr Mesko, also known as The Medical Futurist, is an expert in analysing the impact of science fiction technologies in healthcare. He is on Amazon's Top 100 Authors list and teaches as a private professor in Budapest, Hungary.

His closing keynote address will look at how a healthcare system could keep an astronaut alive on Mars.

"My address will take participants on an intergalactic journey, seen through a clinical governance lens. The future of medicine lies in our ability to innovate and adapt. Events like the C3.0 Summit are crucial for fostering the insights and partnerships necessary for this evolution," Dr Mesko said.

Designed as an immersive experience, the C3.0 Summit 2025 will offer sessions centred around the themes of Connect, Care, and Confidence. Attendees can engage in group-wide plenary sessions, as well as choose from specific streams focused on each of the three 'Cs'.
