The AMA is running the rural health issues survey once again.
The AMA's Rural Health Issues Survey is now open to doctors working in regional, rural and remote Australia, as well as those who have previously worked in these areas. Doctors who serve rural communities face many unique challenges, making your insights crucial.
The AMA has conducted the Rural Health Issues Survey in 2016, 2019 and 2022. Its purpose is to identify major issues impacting on rural health and solutions to these problems.
This is your chance to help shape the AMA's rural health policy and advocacy ahead of this years' federal election and beyond. Your participation in this survey will help guide reforms and champion for improvements to medical and health care in rural communities for both clinicians and their patients.
The 2022 survey results highlighted the need for investment to address medical workforce shortages in rural, regional and remote Australia.
The survey takes just 10-15 minutes to complete, and all participants who complete the survey go in the running to receive an RM Williams gift card valued at $500.
The survey is open to all rural doctors practising in Australia. Please feel free to share with your rural doctor networks.
The survey is open for 3 weeks and closes on 19 February 2025.
