Police attached to Strike Force Vuka have charged three people over the supply of prohibited drugs in the Hornsby area, NSW Police say.
Strike Force Vuka was established by officers from Kuring-gai Police Area Command in August 2017 to investigate the supply of methyl-amphetamine in Hornsby and surrounding suburbs.
On Wednesday 21 February 2018, strike force detectives – assisted by the North West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad and Operation Countdown officers – executed three search warrants at home units in Florence Street, Hornsby, and two in Bouvardia Street at Asquith. A crime scene warrant was also executed at a warehouse in Hornsby.
Officers seized a variety of items from the premises including more than 36kg of methamphetamine, more than 100 ampules of steroids, more than $260,000 in cash, three luxury cars, an electronic control device and a cash counting machine.
Two men, aged 29 and 34, and a 29-year-old woman have been charged with supply large commercial quantity of prohibited drugs and participate in a criminal enterprise.
They were all refused bail and appeared at Hornsby Local Court on Thursday 22 February 2018.
They were remanded in custody and will appear at Central Local Court on Thursday 1 March 2018.
