90 New Black Spot Projects for NSW Roads

Dept of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications

The Albanese Labor Government continues to invest in high-priority safety improvements on local roads across New South Wales, with 90 dangerous sites to get crucial safety upgrades.

We are committing $38.8 million to fully fund upgrades under the 2024-25 Black Spot Program.

Safety improvements being funded under this latest round of works include roundabouts, traffic safety measures, upgraded lighting and safety barriers.

These 90 Black Spot projects will make an important contribution towards reducing serious injuries and deaths on NSW roads.

The projects were recommended by the Black Spot Consultative Panel in New South Wales, which is comprised of local stakeholders and ensures projects meet the needs of local drivers.

As part of the Government's significant boost to road safety funding, Black Spot Program funding will increase from $110 million per year to $150 million per year nationally.
