ACA Pushes Swift Approval for CFMEU Bill

Australian Constructors Association

The Australian Constructors Association (ACA) welcomes the resolution of the majority of the 20 proposed amendments to the CFMEU Bill and calls for agreement on any remaining issues without further delay so that the Bill can be passed.

ACA CEO Jon Davies said now is the time to act.

"We are at a critical juncture where the uncertainty surrounding the content and timing of an administration is beginning to have tangible effects on the industry, both in terms of project outcomes and business operations," said Mr Davies.

"The industry cannot afford continued uncertainty, so we call on all parties to finalise and pass the Bill without further delay".
