ACCC Backs Price Setting at Shared Dental Practices

ACCC

The ACCC proposes to grant authorisation to the Australian Dental Association Inc (ADA) and its members to continue to make and give effect to contracts, arrangements and understandings between 2 or more dental practitioners on the fees to be charged for dental services provided within a practice, where the parties operate in a 'shared practice' and at least one party is a member of ADA.

The ACCC proposes to grant authorisation for a period of 5 years.

The ACCC is now seeking submissions in response to the draft determination by 15 August 2024, before making its final decision.

Further details about the application and how to make a submission are available on the ACCC's public register.
