ACCC Proposes Approval for Med School Shared Practices

ACCC

The ACCC proposes to grant authorisation to GEMPASS Australia Limited (GEMPASS Australia) and its members to continue to make and give effect to contracts, arrangements and understandings whereby it operates the Graduate Entry Medical School Admissions System (GEMSAS), pursuant to which graduate medical school applicants submit one application to GEMPASS Australia and GEMPASS Australia manages the application process for all of its members.

The ACCC proposes to grant authorisation for a period of 10 years. The ACCC is now seeking submissions in response to the draft determination by 26 September 2024, before making its final decision.

Further details about the application and how to make a submission are available on the ACCC's public register.
