Looking to complete your New Year's resolutions in 2025? The Hills Shire Council has a range of facilities, activities, and places to help you meet your goals.
Resolution 1: Get active!
Is your New Year's resolution to improve your overall physical health? Look no further than our Waves Fitness & Aquatic Centre in Baulkham Hills.
Open all year round, it's a vibrant social and recreational hub with a wide range of facilities and services.
Swim laps in the pool, hit the state-of-the-art gym, or relax in the spa, sauna, and steam room.
Resolution 2: Learn a new skill or hobby
This year get involved in volunteering for The Hills community. It is a terrific way to meet people, gain a new skill, and give back. There are many different opportunities to volunteer with Council including aged and disability services (community transport, easy care gardening, Meals on Wheels), environmental volunteering (Bushcare, Bidjiwong Community Nursery), events volunteering, The Hills Youth Army, Justice of the Peace and much more.
Resolution 3: Read more books
The Hills Shire boasts four fantastic libraries, including Baulkham Hills Library, Castle Hill Library, Vinegar Hill Memorial Library at Rouse Hill Town Centre, and Dural Library. Meet your 2025 reading goals by browsing and borrowing from the diversity of books across the libraries once you become a member. There is something in store for everyone to enjoy, from toddlers to youth to seniors.
Resolution 4: Spend more time with loved ones
Spend more time with your family and friends in 2025 by enjoying our beautiful parks. Stringer Road Reserve in North Kellyville and Brindle Parkway Reserve in Box Hill both recently opened up in 2024, and are the perfect places to kick around a soccer ball, play some cricket, enjoy a picnic, and have fun on the playground.
Resolution 5: Embrace the power of connection
Get social in 2024 and take part in more community-based activities by signing up to The Hills events newsletter. Each month, receive updates about what is happening in The Hills and be the first to learn about all the exciting events, activities, and workshops that are coming up.
