Advisory Group Recruitment for Aboriginal Water Rights

We are looking for a new member, to join the Aboriginal Water Entitlements Program (AWEP). Advisory group members contribute to the management and implementation of the program.

This is a chance to contribute to a $100 million water entitlement initiative. Ensuring First Nations leadership in water ownership and governance. Your voice will shape policies and decision-making in the Basin's water future.

Please consider applying if you:

  • Have a connection to or understanding of the Murray-Darling Basin.
  • Are from the northern Basin, with preference for Traditional Owners from this region.

We will build a merit pool of suitable candidates for future opportunities. Traditional Owners from the southern Basin are also encouraged to apply.

Roles are only available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
