AEGIC congratulates GRDC Seed of Gold recipient Terry Enright, recognising his outstanding contribution to the Australian grains industry.
Mr Enright, who was Chair of AEGIC for more than six years, was presented with the rare and prestigious award at the Perth GRDC Grains Research Update this week. Mr Enright is now Chair of Grains Australia Limited.
The Seed of Gold recognises the outstanding contribution, dedication and commitment of individuals to the Australian grains industry.
AEGIC Chair Ron Storey said the award was very well deserved.
"You pick your best people for the toughest jobs and Terry Enright is no stranger to tough jobs with what he has taken on for the grains sector over the last 20 years," he said.
"It is Terry's capacity to see issues clearly, communicate clearly, and build relationships to take organisations forward which sets him apart.
"While he may be a fixer, he is more importantly a builder.
"Terry was Chair of AEGIC from 2015-2021. We are grateful for his time with us but also the legacy Terry left at AEGIC.
"On behalf of AEGIC's board, our stakeholders and our staff, we congratulate Terry as a most deserving recipient of GRDC's Seed of Gold Award."
