Football lovers are being encouraged to take advantage of free parking at the Northern Inveresk Car Park for tomorrow's clash between Hawthorn and North Melbourne at Launceston's UTAS Stadium.

City of Launceston Mayor Matthew Garwood said the Northern Inveresk Car Park, which can be accessed off Forster Street, offered convenient pedestrian access to Gate 10 at the stadium with 852 spaces on offer.

"Tomorrow's match is the last of the 2024 men's AFL season for UTAS Stadium and we're expecting a great turnout," Mayor Garwood said.

"While power outages and industrial action with TasNetworks have disrupted Launceston this week, it is business as usual for the game noting any further incidents are beyond the control of our venue.

"We hope that fans can enjoy an uninterrupted game.

"The Hawks give our city an economic boost and their presence here is worth $30 million to our local economy each year," Mayor Garwood added.
