Ag Educators Conference: Cultivating Future Leaders

The AgForce School to Industry Partnership Program (SIPP) is set to host the highly anticipated Food, Fibre and Agricultural Educators Conference from 12 to 16 January 2025. Bringing together passionate educators, industry experts, and innovators, the event promises to be a transformative experience for those dedicated to shaping the future of agriculture and its integration into Australian classrooms.

Held on the Gold Coast, the conference will feature inspiring keynote speakers, engaging workshops, and exclusive tours to showcase Queensland's rich agricultural landscape. Highlights include visits to cutting-edge farming operations and processing facilities, offering firsthand insights into modern industry practices.

Keynote presentations include Dan Allen and Ed Ross, co-founders of TradeMutt and TIACS, who are leading advocates for mental health awareness in the agricultural sector. Their keynote will delve into innovative approaches to mental health, emphasizing the importance of open conversations within the industry.

Additionally, Tim Gentle, a digital crusader and educator, will share insights into leveraging technology for storytelling and collaboration in agriculture, inspiring educators to integrate digital tools into their teaching practices.

The program also includes dynamic presentations by renowned speakers such as Jerome Leray, Founder and Managing Director, InFarm and Kari Moffat, Sustainability Manager at AAM Investment Group, experts in sustainable farming technologies, and Associate Professor Amy Crosby, CQU Agri-Tech and Extension, a leader in agricultural education innovation. These sessions will explore vital topics, from incorporating agriculture across the curriculum to understanding emerging career opportunities in the sector.
