Aggravated Burglary In Kew With Side Of Muffins

Boroondara Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an aggravated burglary, and subsequent theft of a vehicle, in Kew on 6 August.

Investigators believe the unknown male offender entered a house on Pakington Street and stole numerous items before eating two muffins, left out on the kitchen bench, about 5.30am.

The offender gained access to the property via a window and stole shoes, a bag, a mobile phone, and car keys prior to consuming the muffins.

Once outside the house he stole a 2018 Toyota Landcruiser with Victorian registration ASI169.

Unfortunately, the offender failed to leave a trail of crumbs.

The offender is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, with stubble, wearing a hoodie and possibly peckish.

Police have been told the same man attempted to enter other properties in the area.

Detectives have released images and CCTV footage of a male they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone who sees the stolen Toyota, or has information that can assist police with their enquiries is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
