A 37-year-old man has been summonsed to appear before the Alice Springs Local Court on charges of Aggravated stealing and Obtain benefit by deception.
It will be alleged during a nine year period the man stole a large quantity of media equipment, including musical instruments and recording gear.
It will be further alleged the man sold some of the equipment online and profited from the sales of these items.
Detectives from the Southern Criminal Investigation Branch conducted three search warrants on two separate properties where they located a large quantity of the stolen equipment.
The man was charged with one count of Aggravated Stealing and two counts of Obtain benefit by deception and will appear before court tomorrow.
