Air Force Heritage Aircraft Flypast for Indigenous Veterans Commemoration

RAAF

An Air Force CAC Winjeel heritage aircraft from No.100 Squadron (100SQN) will conduct a flypast over the Shrine of Remembrance in support of the Indigenous Veterans Commemoration Ceremony.

Winjeel is an Aboriginal word translating to "young eagle," significant given the Winjeel aircraft was used as a basic flight trainer aircraft for ADF pilots, from 1955 to 1994.

Flying is subject to variables including air traffic control requirements, weather, and operational availability. As such, flypasts and displays may be subject to cancellation at short notice.

Noise reduction and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military flying.

Further information about 100SQN aircraft can be found on our Air Force Heritage Aircraft Fleet page.
